An eastern cotton-wood tree growing on theĀ banks of the Connecticut River was undercut by spring floods. Several years later, a severe drought exposed the entire log, and in 1995 I set to work. This project is documented in "Bulletin of Primitive Technology," No. 12, Fall 1996. For more information, see http://www.primitive.org/.
